Important information about statewide testing. Testing season will be upon us soon. RLBMS will be testing for the WVGSA on April 29, May 1, May 6, and May 8.
‼️REMINDER‼️The 8th Grade Family PEP Nights will take place on Tuesday, March 18th, and Wednesday, March 19th, from 4-6 pm in the RLBMS Cafeteria.
To facilitate a smooth and efficient process, the two nights will be organized alphabetically by last name. The 18th is designated for last names (A-L), and the 19th is designated for last names (M-Z).
Good evening. Bus 29-13 will not be running tomorrow Friday, March 14, 2025 due to a shortage of substitute bus drivers. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. You may transport your student to and from school.
The updated Parent Teacher Confernce date will be Thursday, March 13th from 4 to 7.
Mark your calendars.
36-16 will not be running up Big Run today, Friday, February 21st. You will have to transport your student to and from school today. If you cannot do so, send in a note when you student returns. It will be an excused absence.
Lewis County Schools will be closed Thuursday, February 20th. Enjoy your snow day, Patriots!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

(Don't forget to sign in when completing the survey so your students name can be entered into a gift card drawings after the survey closes on March 14th.)
There is no school on Friday, February 14th and Monday, February 17th.
Progress reports, i-Ready diagnostic results, a letter from our school nurse, and a letter about the student climate survey have been sent home with your students. Please ask about them.

Our students did an incredible job showing growth on their i-Ready diagnostics in math and reading over the last few weeks, even with all the craziness mother nature threw at us.
Every student who took the test earned at least one ticket for participating and doing their best. Students earned additional tickets for growth and being on grade level. Our highest earners won 17 for reading growth and 15 for math growth. Reports will be coming home to parents soon to show where your student is currently performing.
We will be celebrating them in the coming weeks with some free time and gift card drawings.

This week our students will be completing their state benchmarking in math and reading. Teachers will use the information from these assessments to design their planning for the remainder of the year.
Our Patriots did an amazing job of showing their basic skills ability in i-Ready. We can't wait to see how you dominate this benchmark testing.

Good afternoon. Bus 38-14 will.not be running, Thursday, January 23rd. Any students who ride Bus 38-14 must be parent transport. If this is not possible for your family, send a note to the school upon their return to excuse the absence of your student. Thank you.
Please take the time to nominate your favorite teacher for Teacher of the Month. This is a monthly nomination process, so you can nominate someone each month.
Report cards will be coming home with our Patriots this afternoon. Thank you all for your patience.
Report cards, attendance report cards, afterschool tutoring flyers, and Chromebook damage memo will all be coming home today.
Lewis County Schools will be operating on a two hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 15th.
i-Ready diagnostic testing will occur tomorrow in the afternoon. Students.....make sure to charge those chromebooks.
Remember, 1 ticket for being there tomorrow for testing and working. 2 tickets for any growth shown and 1 ticket for every half year of growth. The drawings will be worth it!!! The more tickets you earn, the better chance you have of winning.
Due to technical difficulties with the grading system, there were issues with report cards. We will be sending report cards home as soon as the issue has been resolved.
