EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE HOME OF THE PATRIOTS
Once again, the students at RLBMS had the tremendous honor to represent our great state of West Virginia by creating ornaments for the state tree in Washington DC. The inspiration behind the ornaments came from what the students perceived made West Virginia beautiful. The students created a wide variety of subject matter found in our state like famous landmarks like the New River Gorge and Beans Mill, to our state’s animals like the Cardinal and black bear. They created the ornaments using a wide variety of media and natural color schemes. The materials ranged from watercolor, pen and ink to colored pencils.
The students have done an exceptional job representing the beauty of our state and excelled in showcasing their talents and RLBMS Patriot PRIDE. Lewis County should be very proud to have so many young creative people in their midst who can represent our community, our county, and our state at such a high level and at such a young age. It has been my honor and privilege to be able to facilitate this for our students, Lewis county, and our state the past four years.
Thanks for being great kids-
Mr. Joseph Merrifield
