Lewis County Board of Education
The Lewis County Board of Education is a five-member group of citizens that are elected to serve a four year term. The Superintendent of Schools serves as the secretary to the Board. The group is charged with setting policies which assure the proper administration of the educational programs of Lewis County Schools. The Board also approves the hiring of staff to administer these policies and approves the budget necessary to implement the educational program. The board welcomes its responsibility to hear requests and suggestions from delegations and individuals in the community. Public comments may be made to the Board at any of its regular meetings.
