Students dropped off in the student parking lot will be required to walk to the front entrance.  Dropping students off in front of the school will cause traffic delays. Please continue to drop students off in the student parking lot.

This year promises to be filled with great learning experiences and fun for all students. We are excited about starting the year off with high expectations and exceeding the goals we set for ourselves. Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents with high expectations. - Bob Beauprez

Attendance Matters - Every Student, Every Day!

Often, we think absences aren't a problem as long as they're excused or a child’s learning won't be affected unless he or she misses several days in a row. Research shows that missing 10% of the school year — which can be just two or three days every month — can add up to so much lost time in the classroom that children just can't keep up. Attendance is critical to the success of our students. We must have our students present and engaged in order to provide them with the opportunities they need to be successful in the future. For resources and more information, please visit the West Virginia Department of Education webpage: http://wvde.state.wv.us/attendancematters/

Attendance Matters - Check out this article on the importance of reducing chronic school absence rates and then head over to the Lewis County High School WV Facebook page to see our daily student and staff attendance rates. Together we are "Getting Better By the Minute!"
